thank you God

It is finally over. I am finally free from my self inflicted trap of denial. I am finally over it, I am finally able to smile a smile that rings down to the bones of me. I am finally free of the weights of dishonesty to both myself and to those I love. I am free from a loveless, physical addiction. I am free from the weakness of my own pain and how it held me in an unhealthy place. I am free. I am free.

I am free from the arms of someone who sucked my love from me and gave only fragments of caring and love in return. I was a well that ran dry and he kept wanting more. I am free.
I no longer long to be with him, I no longer long for arms to hold me. I am truly satisfied with my bed being empty, there is me in it and I do love myself. I am free from the idea I don't need people, but I am free from the idea that it needs to be a significant other. I am happy with the love my family and friends give me, I am free from holding myself back from their love.
I am free from my chains to people who also suffer my emptiness and allow me to wallow. I am free from the environment the facilitated my own disease. I am free from dysfunction.
My soul is free, my heart is free, my mind is free. I have moved on, and when I look back I don't feel longing, I feel a smile of pity and love come over my face and I feel myself walking away.
